Boyband ini terdiri dari member Sime (Croatian), Frankie (American), Hunter (American), dan Koki (Japanese-American). EXP Edition sendiri dimulai ketika ada sebuah projek tesis di Universitas Columbia. Bagaimanapun juga mereka berjuang untuk menjadi boyband dari luar Korea. Pertama kali, mereka datang ke Seoul pada bulan Agustus 2016, mereka segera mulai training dan melakukannya dengan Korean style (dance practice, vocal lessons, Korean lessons) dan sebagainya. Mereka tinggal di asrama (dorm) dan memiliki jadwal ketat pelatihan idol selama 18 jam/hari. Finally setelah 1 tahun lebih mereka debut dengan single pertama “Feel Like This.”

Mereka sangat antusias dan atraktif. Perjuangan mereka sampai saat ini termasuk salah satu keberuntungan, karena mereka mendapatkan kesempatan sebagai rookie grup yang bisa perform satu stage bersama dengan EXID, Monsta X, dan Pristin. Bagi mereka menjadi idol seperti suatu kebaikan, lebih banyak untuk mendukung orang-orang disegala sisi.

Respon dari berbagai media korea sangat positif atas debut mereka, namun ada pula komentar negatif yang justru berasal dari international K-pop fans. Bahkan ada salah seorang Korea netizen ynag berkomentar di Naver-salah satu search engine di Korea, bahwa mereka menyambut positif dan mendukung mereka.

Member EXP Edition datang ke Korea dengan jalan yang berbeda-beda. Sime menonton film horor Korea ketika di Kroasia, Hunter menyanyi noraebang (karaoke) yang ada di Koreatown New York, Frankie melakukan dance lagu-lagu K-pop di Broadway Dance Center, dan Koki yang pertama kali mendengarkan lagu BIGBANG “Haru – Haru.” Mereka semua melakukan dengan serius dan cinta untuk menjadi idol dan meninggalkan kehidupan mereka di negeri sendiri. Mereka selalu ingin menjadi K-pop star yang bisa merangkul semua etnis di Korea. Mungkin sekarang mereka baru mulai di industri entertainment Korea, namun jangan salah bisa jadi mereka yang akan menjadi sejarah K-pop berikutnya. Fighting EXP Edition ♡

Hello, friends! Hasne here, and I am back with my fashion series, in which I create KBS drama-inspired outfits. This time we are going to look at Shin Sae Kyeong, and one of her characters Jeong Haera from a drama “Black Knight”. I'm not going to lie, all of the actors are dressed beautifully, but Sae Kyeong caught my attention by how effortless, minimalistic, and yet fashionable she looked!

The very first attire is my favorite. It incorporates the essential pieces of clothes each woman should have in her closet. It will make your height appear taller, and your silhouette graceful.

It is really easy to pull off this look, put on a black turtleneck (14$) together with a pair of straight denim blue jeans (39$). You won’t regret getting these two items, as you can match them with anything. The key garment in this outfit is the intense red coat (78$). This color might seem risky, but don’t forget that red is one of the classy colors too! Complete the set by adding black boots (34$), and a cross-body bag of the same color (42$). The perfect combination of colors, and correctly chosen styles of clothes will make you the center of attention.

The second outfit is classy and can be worn almost in all settings: at a party, at a formal event, at a hang out with friends, and even at school/college. It is a great example of noble simplicity.

This character’s romantic aura is displayed by bows and ruffles on her clothes. Although I could not find a dress with bows…I got one with ruffles (22$)! Just like our heroine, I matched it with a coat (44$), a pair of tights (6$), and suede heels (40$) – all in the luxurious black color. Some time ago it was thought that the more stuff you put on yourself, colorful and shiny, the better you will look; however, that era in fashion is over now. Simplicity in style is the way to go!

You know what is the hard part of liking and following Korean fashion? The inability to find all these adorable clothes in your local stores L In fact, it was hard to find a similar outerwear online too! But because this outfit is also simple, I decided to contrast it with a checkered coat.

Here, we once again have our old, but gold black turtleneck (14$) put together with straight denim jeans (29$) with a textured coat on top (70$), black leather handback (18$) and boots (55$). I just realized that another reason why I love the way this character dressed is because I have a similar style; except I am not a big fan of heels, and I usually choose comfort. Well, and I am already tall enough :D

After analyzing this character, my final remarks are, 1) use classic color patterns, 2) make simplicity your top priority when it comes to putting outfits together, 3) try taking two items (for example, turtleneck/jeans) and matching them with other items in your closet for the maximum number of cute looks! When going shopping remember, sales are your friends.

Hello~ I’m back in the first Sunday March^^

I can recall watching my first Korean drama 9 years ago and thinking, “Wow, look at her dress… and her coat…oh my goodness, all of them dress so well!” I immediately fell in love with Korean fashion. At first, I tried finding the stores at which the original clothes from dramas were bought. I succeeded, but they were extremely expensive, and I simply could not afford them. I closed the websites and started brainstorming how I could become more stylish.

While watching dramas, I started noting how the characters are dressed, and then tried creating similar, low-budget outfits for myself in real life. With each day I was becoming more fashionable, and learned how to match different types of clothes better. Thus, starting from today, I will be sharing with you KBS drama-inspired outfit ideas. For each post I will take a KBS drama character, choose a couple of their outfits, and create similarly styled looks using clothes from affordable stores.

Our first fashionista is actress Kim Ji Won, and her character Choi Aera from “Fight for My Way”. Throughout the whole drama her style is simple, but at the same time stylish, and most importantly, comfortable. Let us dig into it, and look at the first outfit!

1. The very first set is casual, and at the same time funky. She is wearing a blue shirt with a long colorblock cardigan over, straight jeans with tassels at the bottom, white slip-ons, and the most comfortable canvas bag. I love this outfit for its simplicity; it does not feature any special pieces of clothes, but it looks so well put-together.

For this look, I found an elegant blue shirt (30$), which goes well with the denim blue frayed hem pencil jeans (30$). I wanted to add a colorful cardigan, but then I stumbled upon this tricolor oversized one (47$), and thought that it actually fits good in here. I finished the set by adding light beige slip-ons (28$), and a canvas bag (25$) of the same color as I thought that the sun print looks adorable. I am sure that if you carefully look into your wardrobe, you will be able to create a very similar look!

2. The second outfit has more of an 80-90’s vibe. Kim Ji Won is dressed in mid-rise waist flared jeans with tassels, a long-sleeved shirt with stars print paired with a light-beige oversized leather jacket on top, some black wedges, and her regular white canvas bag.

Putting a similar outfit was a bit challenging this time, but I still managed to find clothes that resemble the character, and fit the price. I went for traditional flare jeans from (40$), a long sleeve shirt that has stars print, and a cute bowtie on it (25$), deep beige zip leather jacket (70$), classy black creepers (47$), and a tote bag. You can easily wear this look to school/university, and also for a social gathering with friends.

3. Can we just take a second to agree on how Kim Ji Won absolutely slayed the trousers suit look? I think this is my favorite outfit out of all, as it is minimalistic, and yet so sophisticated. Baby blue trousers suit worn with a plain white blouse matched with yellow pumps, and, of course, with her favorite canvas bag. Many people think that to look feminine and formal a woman must wear a dress; Kim Ji Won has busted this opinion.

To replicate this look, I found a classic, dark navy trousers suit (110$), put it together with a white blouse (13$), matched with a pair of yellow heels (37$), as I simply love this color combination, and added the same old canvas bag from the previous looks. I would definitely wear this outfit to a formal event as it would make me feel both comfortable and confident.

My last advice for you is the following – remember to check on your favorite stores’ sales, and even try to go thrift shopping; that way you can find the clothes you need for even cheaper than what I have presented.
