나의 STORY

After three years since debut global boy band Tomorrow X Together finally came together with Indonesian fans with its in-person concert Tomorrow X Together World Tour ‘Act : Love Sick’ in Jakarta was on October 12, 2022. Jakarta is the first stop in Southeast Asian, continuing to the Seoul, America, and Japan stops, took place at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE), BSD City, Tangerang. The concert, which ran for two and a half hours, featured some of the group’s biggest hits, as well as exclusive performances.

Around 6500 fans flocked to the venue that night for at the live concert. Signaling the start to Wednesday’s show, the venue was awash in blue light as the opening anthem of the band’s rock score 0X1=Lovesong (I Know I Love You) rang out. The boys jumped onto the stage, decked out in glamorous pink outfits like prince. After ending their lung-busting first song, TXT members gathered at center stage to face their fans. A sea of fans feverishly welcomed the members, screaming and lighting up their lights sticks at every word from the members.

Around 6500 Indonesian MOAs were at the venue

The show had been carefully coordinated to reflect TXT’s world building narrative, which had been told through the band’s “The Dream Chapter” and “The Chaos Chapter” album series and the two “minisode” EPs bridging the two chapters. The boys ramped up the excitement with Wishlist, Blue Orangeade, and Magic. While tempering the hype a bit with Ghosting, they cranked up the energy once more with New Rules and a special remix of Puma. The ‘Puma’ remix performance included a solo dance break by Yeonjun that induced ear-splitting cheers from fans.

TXT members galloped around the main stage and a protruding platform as they continued to electrify fans with the songs What If I Had Been That Puma and LO$ER=LO♡ER, while cooing into fans’ ears with the balladic tune Trust Fund Baby. TXT members surprised MOAs with their Indonesian skill and fan service. Huening Kai keep saying ‘mantul’- a short form for mantap betul, it means very nice. Not only that, Huening Kai did Yeonjun's rap part 'Blockbuster', which was Yeonjun's featuring song in Enhypen's Dimension : Dilemma released a year ago. Taehyun sang “Hati-Hati di Jalan’, an Indonesian hit song by Tulus singer. Soobin teased fans, “Sayang, udah makan?”, it means “Darling, have you eat?”, which was greeted by excited shouts from Indonesia MOAs.

From here on, the members performed 11 songs almost nonstop. The energy inside the venue ramped up as the boys ran through some of their biggest hits, including Crown, Magic Island, Run Away, Blue Hour Dance Break Version, Frost, Maze In The Mirror, Eternally, Can’t You See Me?, Opening Sequence, Lonely Boy, and Anti-Romantic.

Wrapping up the official set list with its latest release, Good Boy Gone Bad, TXT brought a real close to the night with three encore performances: Thursday’s Child Has Far To Go, MOA Diary (Dubaddu Wari Wari), and Sweat. While performing the song Thursday’s Child Has Far To Go, the fifth member walking to the audience area greeted MOAs more closely. The highlight of the night came with the final encore, Sweat, the bandmates’ self-written hidden track which has been officially released only in https://txt-theanswers.com/eternity/. MOAs successfully did surprise events for TXT. The first one is to make starlight using the cellphone’s flash and the second one is raise up the banner toward the stage for TXT.

In the members’ final speech of the night, Taehyun promises they will come back to Indonesia in the bigger venue and invites more fans. Beomgyu said that he learnt became to be someone support and said that Moas support them in every moment so he thanks to MOAs.“Stay healthy until we meet again. See you next time, thank you for coming today. Love you! Sayang..Aku cinta kamu!!”, he added. “Wherever we are, we will sing for you MOAs. We promise our MOAs that we will always give our best on stage. So that every precious moment that we shared can help you trust us and lead us in the better direction. Tomorrow and the day after tomorrow please shared it with us. Sampai jumpa lagi,” Soobin said.

Kicking off in Jakarta, TXT will continue its “Act: Love Sick” world tour in Bangkok on October 23 and Manila on October 27-28, 2022.

I don’t understand time, but I know that it passes too quickly. We use ‘fast and slow’ in comparison to our own individual experiences, and in our short lives. Surprisingly we have 3 months left until the end of 2022. Here I want to share my recaps when i celebrated BTS Proof album release and BTS anniversary few months ago.

1. Namjooning

Basically the act of namjooning is RM BTS also known as Kim Namjoon-trying to not go insane in this world. Namjooning is Joon’s grounding. Like it’s more than going to a museum, a nature walk, and reflection. It allows him to be Kim Namjoon and more in-tuned with who Namjoon is.

How endeared I’ve been when I went to Museum MACAN-is a modern & contemporary art museum in Jakarta, Indonesia, and found out same exhibition as Namjoon visited years ago. There were 4 exhibitions at the moment but I do pointed out two same. First, Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Mirrored Room-Brilliance of the Souls. This popular installation can be viewed in a new area inside the museum. Infinity Mirrored Room is a series of installation created by Yayoi Kusama to depict a borderless reality. Infinity is a key concept within Kusama’s oeuvre. Namjoon visited it in the Bonte Museum, Jeju Island on August 2019. From Museum MACAN’s collection, I also found out Yoshitomo Nara’s works. Back then January 2019, Namjoon posted one of his masterpiece in BTS’s twitter. It was one of the charity postcard set for 3.11 earthquake which Yoshitomo Nara created in 2011. It is sold at Art & Design Store, 3F Roppongi Hills.
the staff just gave visitor maximum 1 minute per person to took of photos or videos

2. My BTS Story

This is a collaboration campaign with Youtube in celebration of BTS 9th anniversary and Proof album release. They launched Youtube shorts #MyBTStory where ARMY shared their favourite BTS moments throughout the year. They featured this shorts into Yet To Come music video released on July 12, 2022. I joined this campaign (https://youtu.be/672decTdHlI), unfortunately they didn’t include my part inside the MV but no worries I enjoyed it so much.

This event also marked by the presence of a big statue or pop-up in a purple BTS logo which placed at four predetermined points. We were so lucky, Indonesia, at Kota Kasablanka, South Jakarta, is the only Asian country on the list. While three other locations where the BTS logo placed were Santa Monica Pier, L.A, Bryant Park, NYC, and Bayside Marketplace, Miami. I remember Kota Kasablanka is the first place BTS had their fanmeeting or mini showcase when they visited Indonesia back in 2015. They performed 12 songs and had a hi-touch event with Indonesian ARMY. This pop-up lasted for 6 days from June 10 to June 16, 2022 and I was glad could capturing the moments.

3. Frank & Co. x Tiny Tan

Frank & Co., an Indonesian premium jewellery brand, released product collaboration with TinyTAN (BTS-inspired animated characters) on June 8, 2022 at Central Park Mall, West Jakarta. I went to the booth and saw this special collection is really interesting. Frank & co.'s TinyTAN Special Collection is part of the #NyatakanDenganFranknco campaigns. This collection consist of gold diamond necklaces and bracelets, presenting seven TinyTAN characters, starting from RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook. It priced from IDR 6 million (bracelet) to IDR 10 million (necklace).

4. 7 Day ARMY Party

Spotify Kpop was held an official BTS ARMY Listening Party for 7 days after Proof album was released on June 10, 2022. This event was available on June 16, 2022 until Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 11-12 pm ET. This experience was only available for Spotify Premium users. #7DayARMYParty with new and daily themed BTS playlists featuring new and old songs that ARMY loved. Spotify Indonesia has the official BTS merch giveaways which are exclusive for ARMY. During one hour listening party, we took a screenshot of the 7-day ARMY listening page site, posted the screenshot of the day with hashtag and how we feel about ARMY Party in the caption and send it to Spotify Indonesia twitter account. I was lucky enough getting merch on the 7th day. I didn’t expected I got the Premium BTS Logo: The Color of Love Edition presented by Sideshow, which is specializing popular characters from highly recognized brands such as Star Wars, Marvel, DC Comics, Alien & Predator, Terminator, The Lord of the Rings, G.I. Joe and many more. Since the Logo inspired by almost 8 years of BTS musical artistry I would treasure it for sure.
my gift Sideshow BTS Logo: The Color of Love Edition

We’re not waiting, but moving ahead together. I hope none of us stand in the same place. That we’re able to sail our separate ways in this wide galaxy for a little while, and finally meet on a familiar island. I’ll miss you as seven, but not so much that you’ll feel burdened, and I’ll use that part of my love to look forward to you as individuals whilst you find your own lights and shine even brighter. To what’s yet to come. Thank you for being a reason I can look back on my youth as being the most beautiful of moments. To my best friend, BTS, I don’t have a single doubt that we’ll meet each other again soon, let’s keep running.

I'm so happy just received my E-certificate after completing my online lecturer of Spacing Words in Korean. Back one month ago, April, Korean Cultural Center Indonesia (KCCI) holding an online class entitled "Spacing Words in Korean 2021". This event is divided into three sessions which are held every Wednesday starting at 10:00 WIB with Ms. Kim Hyun Ju, Senior Staff for the King Sejong Institute Foundation as a teacher.

What is the use of spacing word in Korean? The space itself is the distance between words which is used to make a sentence easier to understand and so that the meaning in the sentence can be conveyed accurately. In addition to studying spacing, we will also study other things related to writing in Korean, such as the difference between dependent nouns and postpositions, what are the provisions that must be known when writing in Korean and so on.

This class was opened in response to requests from many Korean language teachers and students who admitted that they had difficulty placing spaces in Korean grammar writing. This class was welcomed enthusiastically by the Indonesian people, even registration had to close early because the number of registrants had exceeded the limit.

The first class session was opened on April 14, 2021, and continued with the second and third class sessions which were held on April 21 and 28, 2021. The material discussion in this class is designed to guide participants so that they can write spaces correctly in actual practice. There are also lessons to transfer the meaning of speech into good and correct writing so that it is easy to understand when read.

the 2nd class session was on April 21, 2021

This online lecture will certainly be very useful especially for those who work in the field of Korean language education, those who are studying Korean at the intermediate level and above, or those who are preparing to take the TOPIK 2 exam.

To myself after i learnt about spacing surely it broaden my understanding of Korean writing. The use of spaces in Korean writing is confusing. The most important key to mastering it is understanding the basic rules of writing the spacing itself. Also this class was a great opportunity for people to understand more clearly about Korean grammar spacing. I hope that there will be other classes related to Korean in the future.

Thank you so much KCCI!!

my product review KEW & LEAVES (No.612 Citrus Love Herbal Tea) from GMP Season 2

It was on April 2019, Global Marketing Panel (GMP) launched for the first time. The GMP is program to recruit overseas consumer/expert panels who can provide unique insight for product development tailored to their local market. I was scrolling their official instagram and knew this program is very interesting. Soon I tried to apply it and glad I was accepted for this program.

So how does GMP work? First thing, there will be period to submit the application documents. Also you should create an account in Kmall24 (www.kmall24.com). Kmall24 is an online store for overseas consumers operated by Korea International Trade Association (KITA). After waiting for the announcement result, you can claim one favorite sample product and receive the sample good. Then, write reviews on Kmall24 and your own social media like blog/instagram. Don’t worry if you don’t have any experience as a panel previously. Based on my experience, as long as you offering realistic comments to Korean startups, it would eligible to become of this program.

GMP program is composed of 6 weeks in a row for single round (3 weeks to have the sample delivered and 3 weeks for us to write a review). So happy I became part of GMP for Season 1 to Season 3 which ended last December 2019. I testing various samples such as beauty product face mask, citrus herbal tea, until cleaning tablet set.

After this program, they will collecting the on-site all global panel reviews. For our good work, they will giving us incentives & digital certificates. I learned a lot for this program. GMP is platform that connects startups and real users. From our insight and feedback, we can contribute to product development of innovative startups.

digital certificate will be send to our email after completing the review & checked by the reviewer team

my first time watching Bang Bang Con The Live
What a time to be alive as a BTS fans. I am glad my path led me to them 5 years ago and gave me a chance to witness their growth as an artist and as a person💜 On Sunday, June 14th 2020, became a special day in my life! My first time I watched Bang Bang Con The Live – a virtual concert, to celebrate final day of the 2020 FESTA. The FESTA itself it’s a day when BTS & ARMY celebrate BTS debut every year, usually it took about two weeks (starts from June 1 to June 14). This year BTS did project gifts such as Airplane MV Summer version as opening ceremony; BTS Family Portrait; BTS Rehearsal Stage CAM ‘Dionysus’; BTS Photo Collection 2019/2020; Still With You song by Jungkook; BTS Profile 1 & 2; BTS ‘FAKE LOVE’ at 2018 MAMA Performance Practice (Formation Check vers.); BTS 7th Anniversary Family Portrait Special; Answer: BTS 3 Units-an interview of unit song Respect, Jamais Vu, and Friends; Map Of The Song:7-such a fun BTS noraebang, and We Are Bulletproof : the Eternal MV, so it’s really meaningful day!
I purchased the ticket two days before the concert for amount $35,10 because I don’t have the membership. Otherhands if you joined fanclub membership you can get a special deal for $26,09. Even the ticket sale closing time had been adjusted to close 2 hour (at 4pm KST) earlier before the performance. I got my emblem in my weverse shop account and my online ticket delivered to my email the day after the live streaming ends. This part was interesting because sometimes someone just want this special gift and doing refund so Big Hit just wanna make sure this situation will not happen.
notification for purchasing ticket in my weverse shop account

left pict : an online ticket
right pict : an emblem

I started to connect the live streaming 30 minutes before through login into my weverse shop ID and access a link
concerts.kiswe.com. I prepared my lightstick ARMY bomb to connect my laptop. The concert was provided six multi-view screens and two devices can be logged in at the same time, so I shared my account with my cousin who also loves BTS. They provided subtitles in four languages (Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese) during the live. For 90 minutes BTS sang 12 songs, 1st part before the AD break were Dope, Boyz with Fun (흥탄소년단), I like it (좋아요), Just One Day (하루만). “Welcome, the first time to Bang Bang Con?” Namjoon's intro at the opening "Dope", with a little improvisation greets us followed one by one the members. I couldn't relax right away when Yoongi appeared. His hair was cut shorter, with the forehead that was increasingly confident managed to trap me in a feeling of chaotic beautiful haze. The iconic part from Boyz with Fun definitely when V starts to think of a choreography to be followed by other members. A sign of peace on his face while dancing happily, successfully invite other members in laughter before they finally participating in V’s demonstration.
The 2nd part consist of unit songs: Jamais Vu (Jin, J-Hope & Jungkook), Respect (RM & Suga), Friends (V & Jimin). The screen turned gray, the "Jan Jan Kook" unit exits the door, taking turns climbing the steps located behind. Hoseok's neat vocals vs. Jungkook's beautiful voice vs. Seokjin's smooth high notes. I don't think we need to describe the beauty of their appearance which drags us into gray feelings in Jamais Vu. If the words "Respect" have echoed, who else if not NamGi in the unit? Yep, the screen has changed brighter, but in a quality looks like 90s. Their costumes also supported with loose suits. Namjoon is more handsome with a patterned slayer on the collar shirt while Yoongi with a headband and doesn't forget the yellow monocle. The moment I remember from Friends unit, our Vmin looking gorgeous with their high school uniform. Jimin took out an artificial dumpling one whole piece from his backpack to give to Taehyung, and took it out again but give only separated for himself. This scene looks like symbol of peace over their dumpling incident behind the meaning in this song itself. Both sweet-cute interactions really made me touched!
The 3rd part were Black Swan, Boy with Luv (작은것들을 위한 시), Go Go (고민보다 Go!), and Anpanman. Finally the series of concerts closed with Spring Day. Jimin still performed with his solo choreography very greatly, no matter how many years had passed it still extraordinary. Jin also looked teary, but he tried to hold back so his tears did not spill.
I would've paid more to watch BBC for I know how much work goes behind the scenes to create this stuff. To be honest just from seeing Jamais Vu, Respect & Friends, I knew what I paid for was so worth it. Also, putting here for a fact: the price was about 7% of their regular concert ticket.
The setlist, costumes (plural because they switched during the concert and yes intermissions are needed for them to change and i don't really mind if it's their ads), the stage props, the effects, the gimmicks, the sound quality, the multiviews. dang, it was so worth more. There were ads it’s still BTS and they were hella cute. They give us free content all the time like the whole 2 day Bang Bang Con marathon.
It was more than just a performance, it was a declaration of intent - a promise of togetherness for the future, no matter what it holds. The way the member talked about they wouldn’t have BBC if they weren’t resign the contract and hugging together afterwards got me. I’m thankful, really. So thankful that BTS decided to stick together. Also this means that BBC was always so much more than just an online concert. It marked as a historical new beginning, one that they did the very first time on their second period of contract. It was so so much more and it will always be meaningful for us fans, ARMY. Thank you for today, BTS. For your existence, your music, your fortitude, your candor, your humility, your kindness, your love. Thank you. Until the spring day comes again, until the flowers bloom, I promise I will stay right here for you ♥

Flower tea package
Since I really knew about Korea and my first contact everything fascinated me, culture, music, language and the people. I encountered K-Pop and along with it diverse sites and televising media of Korea and one of them was the Korean Broadcasting System (KBS). I was happy my path led me to KBS World 6 years ago. I was always interested in the medium of entertainment so I was always attentive to the programs and the news.

During that time I always saw several contests and events being announced by the KBS website (https://kbsworld.kbs.co.kr), promoting the interaction between the international public and television being something that always captivated me and attracted attention. At first, I participated in the Beauty Bible, which is TV program that showed us summer makeover by Korean stars. I won the contest which I was presented with beauty box, KOKO doll and 2NE1 Global Tour DVD.

Prize set from Beauty Bible
The participation naturally led me to sign up to other events. The K-RUSH program, which is TV program that showed us Korea’s hot places and trends by the hottest idols and studio talk with the hottest stars. In each episodes there was quizzes that published by KBS website, and luckily I won the quiz that I was represent BTS and NU’EST W autographed album in different season program.

autographed album from K-RUSH
KBS also very generous to held social media events (such as KBS’s facebook, KBS’s instagram and KBS’s twitter) that international fans can joined. Not a long ago, I won family month event in May which we send a warm-hearted message to our parents on their social media comment. I won prize of flower tea package that I can shared with my parents. I thought they were really considerate to give the prize.

Participants in the 2018 Quiz on Korea preliminary rounds in Indonesia answer yes-no questions

On July 21, the Korean Cultural Center in Indonesia (KCC) hosted its Quiz on Korea 2018 preliminary rounds at the Ice Palace Lotte shopping mall in Jakarta. The Quiz on Korea is a live-audience game show that's a collaboration between the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the TV channel KBS World. The quiz tests contestants' general knowledge about Korea. Participants not only come from Jakarta, but other cities and provinces, too, such as West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta and East Java.

Firstly, I didn't know that I was chosen to participate in this contest because I had just written a short essay about things that I love about Korea. Previously, the KCC had opened registration for one week and provided an e-form so that the candidate could submit their essay. On July 17, I was contacted by the staff there saying that I had been selected to be in the preliminary rounds. They are very generous to reimburse me my transportation costs of around KRW 25'000, or USD $25, because I'm not a resident of Jakarta.

Together with a total of 98 other participants, we were asked questions about Korea, covering topics of cultural, historical, linguistic and lifestyle importance. The quiz was divided into four stages: yes-no questions, multiple choice questions, short-answer questions, and final questions. In the yes-no questions and multiple choice questions, the questions were both in Korean and in Bahasa Indonesia, so it was easier for participants to understand.

At this stage, many of the participants failed, but the KCC gave them an opportunity up to four times to re-enter the competition. I was one of the lucky ones who got a chance to get back into the game. When it came to the third stage -- short-answer questions -- the questions were really in Korean only and I failed to answer a question about some specific K-pop group because my Korean writing had a few mistakes. So I stepped out of line and kept supporting the other participants who were still going forward.

Finally, there were five winners in the contest: the first winner, the two second-place winners, and two third-place winners. Congratulations to Silvia Ulfa! She's a Korean literature major at the University of Indonesia and has now become the first-place winner. She was also chosen to be Indonesia's representative in the final rounds of the competition to be held in Korea. The final rounds will be aired on a special program on the TV channel KBS World during the Chuseok holiday in Korea.

For me, the Quiz on Korea 2018 Indonesia preliminary rounds were a real challenge to learn more and more about Korea. I saw many participants who had great talents. Meanwhile, I had a good time participating in this contest. I met new friends and had an unforgettable experience. Thank you for this precious opportunity.

Visiting an amusement park like Everland is popular way to celebrate Children's Day. (Korea Tourism Organization)

I think this May is full of family activities and fun. In Korea, Children’s Day (어린이날) is held annually on May 5. On May 1, 1923, children’s book writer Bang Jeong-hwan wrote a letter, “An Open Letter to Adults,” that calls on people to treat children with respect, especially in the manner in which adults speak to them, and make sure that they neither shout nor mistreat children. Actually, Children’s Day was celebrated on May 1, but as this coincided with Labor Day, it was moved to May 5 and became an official public holiday in 1975.

Everybody gets excited when they look at the calendar and notice that one of the days is marked in red, meaning it's an official holiday. These special red days mean that workers get a day off work and children get a day off school. Three days after Children’s Day, on May 8, is Parents’ Day (어버이날). The day was originally designated as Mother’s Day, but as there was not a Father’s Day, the two days were combined to make Parents’ Day. However, this day is not a public holiday. Traditionally, children give their parents carnations on Parents’ Day. As a result, many convenience stores and shops will have special displays so that children can easily buy flowers or other small gifts for their parents.

As parents often don’t have much time to see their children due to overtime or working on the weekend, many families make an extra effort to do something special on Children’s Day. Parents will often take their children somewhere special and treat them to snacks or ice cream on Children’s Day. Places like amusement parks, zoos and having a picnic in the park are especially popular.

As well as these common Children’s Day activities, there are many other things that you can do in Korea on your day off. You could go hiking up a mountain, take a one-day trip to the countryside, or even just rest at home.

Happy Children’s Day!

Participants in a spring celebration at the Korean Cultural Center in Indonesia pose for a photo with flowers and balloons

“봄! 봄! 봄이 왔어요!” Flowers are blooming across Korea, and the season has overcome Jakarta, too. Actually, it’s not a common season along the equator, but a fun Korean Day was held at the Korean Cultural Center in Indonesia (KCC). Last Friday, March 29, 2018, the KCC showed Indonesians a bit more about the spring. Two days before the event, we had to register at the official website to get a free pass because there was a limit on the number of people. Around 84 people gathered in the KCC’s multifunctional hall.

Participants had to dress according to a dress code chosen by the KCC. The colors were pink, yellow, white, green or a floral design. It made for a blooming atmosphere. From Korea to Indonesia, we introduced various kinds of flowers and spring festivals by watching a video. Many different flower festivals will be happening around Korea. To name a few, there's the Seokchon Lake Flower Festival, the Seoul Grand Park Cherry Blossom Festival and the Seoul Land Cherry Blossom Festival. They will take place starting in the first week of April. The Yeouido Spring Flower Festival, which is the biggest, most well-known festival of them all, will take place around mid-April. Every spring, millions gather at this particular festival to view the beauty of the cherry blossoms, azaleas, forsythias and dandelions all in one place.

Participants were also taking part in fun quizzes and exciting games, but there was one group of games that really impressed me. We were divided into 10 or 11 people per group. Then we had to make a picture of a random Korean historic building, such as Gyeongbokgung Palace, Gwanghwamun Gate or Seoul Station. After that, each group got the opportunity to present their work of art to the other groups.

The enthusiasm of the participants never ended. The KCC was very generous to provide photo booths with a spring theme. Some stuff, like ornamental flowers and balloons, decorated the booths. A lot of people came to take memorable photos. The KCC also gave out some gifts for the best photo if participants uploaded their photo to their social media profile and tagged the KCC.

The event ended with a photo together, and the KCC treated all the participants to some delicious Korean snacks, such as watermelon slices, seafood and green onion savory pancakes, rice rolls, colored rice cake and even some kimchi.

I've learned a lot about the Korean spring and had a great time and experience at the event. I look forward to seeing some cherry blossoms when I go to Korea next time.

In Korea, men give sweet treats to women they like on White Day. (Image source: Candy Warehouse)

After Valentine’s Day, we all come down from our sugar high. Now it’s time for the recipient of the Valentine’s chocolates to start prepping for White Day.

In Korea, Valentine’s Day is celebrated a bit differently from here in Indonesia. While people here on Valentine's Day, both men and women, run around breaking their necks trying to find a perfect gift for their prospective sweethearts, it’s a bit different in other East Asian countries like Korea, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam or mainland China.

Valentine's Day revolves mostly around women giving chocolates to men: romantically, professionally, or just out of friendship. This day is for women to show affection to the men they care about in their lives.

One month later, on March 14, men repay the favor by giving sweet treats to the special women in their lives. This gift, seen as a “waiting reply” to the sweets they received in February, is known as White Day.

Men mark White Day as a fun opportunity to reciprocate the presents they received on Valentine’s Day. In Korea, it’s common to see hard candies, like lollipops, being given as gifts, rather than cakes or chocolates, as in Japan.

However you decide to celebrate White Day, and whatever kinds of gifts you decide to give, the bottom line is to show your friends and loved ones that you care about them. You don’t need a special day to give gifts to good people, but in case you need that extra push to do so, here’s your excuse.
See you on next post~
